01 Problem

The challenge was that sourcing interior design goods is often messy and inconsistent. Catalogs are difficult to navigate, product information varies wildly across vendors, and many marketplaces feel cluttered or dated. Users also need confidence before they message, request a quote, or buy—especially when decisions involve higher-value items. Lacasa needed an experience that reduced noise, improved clarity, and built trust through structure.

02 Objective

Our objective was to design an end-to-end marketplace UX that helps users find the right products quickly, makes browsing feel effortless, strengthens credibility through consistent content patterns, and improves conversion into real actions like saving, inquiring, requesting quotes, and contacting suppliers. Every design decision was guided by reducing decision fatigue and making the next step obvious.

03 Solution

We created a calm, modern interface that elevates product imagery while keeping the layout structured and easy to scan. Discovery was designed around the way people actually shop for interior goods: explore first, narrow down with meaningful filters, compare options, and save for later. We prioritized search-first navigation, clean product cards that support fast scanning, and product pages that answer questions quickly through a clear information hierarchy.

On the product detail experience, we focused on confidence. Specs, materials, dimensions, and key information were organized in consistent sections so users don’t have to hunt. We also introduced supplier cues where appropriate to reinforce credibility, plus related and alternative products to support comparison and keep users moving forward. The result is a product page that feels premium, clear, and conversion-ready.

To reduce friction between browsing and action, we designed obvious next steps that feel natural instead of forced. Users can save items into collections for different projects, share products, message suppliers, or request a quote without unnecessary steps. These actions were treated as core conversion moments, so we made them prominent, simple, and consistent throughout the experience.

Deliverables

We delivered UX strategy, user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, an interactive prototype, and a handoff-ready design system with key components, states, and interaction patterns. The final outcome is a marketplace experience designed to reduce friction and increase confidence—helping users discover products faster and connect with the right suppliers with clarity.
